1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using EverStride's website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.

2. Description of Services

EverStride provides remote veterinary consultation services for senior pets (dogs and cats), including:

  • 60-minute video or phone consultations with Dr. Claire Parkinson, BVSc MRCVS
  • Personalised care plans focused on comfort and quality of life
  • 7-day follow-up support via email
  • Access to a secure client portal

3. Service Limitations

3.1 Not Emergency Services

EverStride does NOT provide emergency veterinary services. If your pet is experiencing a medical emergency, please contact your local veterinary clinic or emergency hospital immediately.

3.2 Complement to Regular Veterinary Care

Our consultations are designed to complement, not replace, your pet's relationship with their regular veterinarian. We provide lifestyle guidance and quality-of-life recommendations but do not:

  • Diagnose medical conditions
  • Prescribe medications
  • Perform physical examinations
  • Replace in-person veterinary care

3.3 UK-Based Service

EverStride is registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) and operates within the UK. Our services are currently only available to UK residents.

4. Registration and Accounts

4.1 Account Creation

To use our services, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access

4.2 Account Responsibility

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to:

  • Keep your password confidential
  • Not share your account with others
  • Notify us of any security breaches

5. Booking and Payment

5.1 Payment Required

Payment is required before scheduling a consultation. We use Stripe for secure payment processing. By providing payment information, you represent that you are authorised to use the payment method.

5.2 Founding Client Pricing

Limited founding client spots are available at discounted rates. Once founding spots are filled, regular pricing applies. Pricing is clearly displayed before payment.

5.3 Cancellation and Refund Policy

  • More than 48 hours before consultation: Full refund
  • 24-48 hours before consultation: 50% refund
  • Less than 24 hours before consultation: No refund
  • No-shows: No refund

5.4 Rescheduling

You may reschedule your consultation up to 24 hours before the appointment at no additional charge.

6. Consultation Process

6.1 Preparation

Before your consultation, please:

  • Complete any pre-consultation forms
  • Gather relevant medical records
  • Prepare questions about your pet's care
  • Ensure you have a stable internet connection (for video calls)

6.2 Consultation Recording

Consultations are not recorded unless you explicitly request and consent to recording for your personal records. We do not record consultations for our purposes.

6.3 Care Plan Delivery

Your personalised care plan will be delivered via the client portal within 48 hours of your consultation. You will receive an email notification when it's ready.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Website Content

All content on the EverStride website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is owned by EverStride and protected by copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.

7.2 Your Care Plan

Your personalised care plan is provided for your personal use. You may print, save, and share it with your pet's veterinary team, but you may not republish or commercialise it.

8. Confidentiality

We maintain the confidentiality of your consultation in accordance with veterinary professional standards and our Privacy Policy. We will only share your information as outlined in our Privacy Policy or with your explicit consent.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, EverStride and Dr. Claire Parkinson shall not be liable for:

  • Decisions made based on consultation advice without consulting your regular veterinarian
  • Delays in seeking emergency care
  • Technical failures or interruptions in service
  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the consultation.

10. Professional Standards

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Merchantability
  • Non-infringement
  • Accuracy or completeness of information

12. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use our services for any unlawful purpose
  • Harass, abuse, or harm others
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Interfere with the operation of our services
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems
  • Use automated systems to access our services without permission

13. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to our services at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe:

  • Violates these Terms
  • Is harmful to other users or our business
  • Exposes us to legal liability

14. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by:

  • Posting the updated Terms on this page with a new "Last Updated" date
  • Sending an email notification (for significant changes)

Your continued use of our services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
